I just got a bill for a book. What should I do?

Answer

If you have the book, return it to the library. The fines and fees will be waived if the book is returned in good condition.

If you still need the book, return it in order to get it removed from your bill. Once we've checked it in and cleared your account, you may check the book out again the next day.

If you can't find the book or it is damaged, you will need to pay for it at the College Cashier's Office in Vermilion Hall. Until the item is paid for, you will be unable to register for classes or receive copies of your transcript.

If you think you've returned the book, you can ask us to check the shelves to see if it might have missed being checked in when returned. If we can't find it, you will still be responsible for the charges.
