Can I get bones and other anatomical models from the library?
Answer
Yes, you can!
The library currently has the following anatomical models for check out:
- Skulls
- Miniature skeletons
- Bone boxes -- disarticulated skeletons in a steel box (these are basically 1/2 skeletons with only 1 each of limbs and only a single rib)
- Mini bone boxes -- like 1/2 size bone boxes, this includes a small disarticulated skeleton but fits into small tool box
- Muscle models -- 2 types: check out the ones that have fewer details and are made of sturdier plastic; in library use only is high quality with more detachable parts (the extra high cost of this one is why it's for in-library use only)
Because we have limited numbers of these items, and they are very expensive, they have more restrictive checkout policies than other library materials.
Because we have had problems with theft of these items, you will be charged a non-refundable fee for late return of an item. You should also review your Borrowing Privileges, paying special attention to the section on non-return of library items valued at greater than $50.
