Why can't I renew my books ?

Answer

If you are unable to renew your items once you have logged in, it may be because you tried to renew them after they were past due. The system sends you a courtesy notice to warn you to renew your items. It includes a convenient link. If they become overdue, you cannot renew them yourself.

Sometimes you can't renew for other reasons. Some materials cannot be renewed, such as reserve items. Others may have been recalled by the library or you may have gone over the number of renewals allowed on an item.

If your books were checked out from the DACC Library and you can't renew, contact DACC's circulation manager at 217/443-8733.

If the item was borrowed from another library through I-Share, you'll need to contact the other library's circulation department (look at the strip attached to the book) and see if they will renew them for you.
